What to do if you buy a home with Copper monitoring already set up

Your Copper account is associated with your home and tied to your email address. When you purchase a home that already has a Copper account you will need to set up your own account. The steps below will show you how.

  1. The previous homeowner should go into Copper and delete the old account under "User Preferences"

  2. You will need to install Copper mobile on your phone. Search for "Copper Labs" in GooglePlay or the Apple Store and download and install the "Copper Wireless Energy Monitor."

  3. Log into the App and set up your new account.
  4. Create a ticket with Copper Support notifying us of the change in ownership.
