What to do if you buy a home with Copper monitoring already set up
Your Copper account is associated with your home and tied to your email address. When you purchase a home that already has a Copper account you will need to set up your own account. The steps below will show you how.
- The previous homeowner should go into Copper and delete the old account under "User Preferences"
- You will need to install Copper mobile on your phone. Search for "Copper Labs" in GooglePlay or the Apple Store and download and install the "Copper Wireless Energy Monitor."
- Log into the App and set up your new account.
- Create a ticket with Copper Support notifying us of the change in ownership.
